JOURNEY TO
JERUSALEM

A 7-week Lenten pilgrimage of prayer, reflection, and walking.

The Running Father

A son asked for the inheritance early.

In that culture, it was more than disrespect.

It was a way of saying,

“I want what is yours,

but I do not want you.”

And still, the father let him go.

This week’s invitation is to receive the Father’s love.

This week’s invitation is to receive the Father’s love.

Some of us have wandered far.
Some of us have stayed close
but kept score.

Ask yourself:
Where am I resisting the Father’s love?
Am I trying to earn what can only be received?

Come back with open hands.

This could be bringing your shame to God, laying down your scorekeeping, or simply receiving His grace again.

The door is open. The Father is near.
